Mr Cope has fixed both of my knees. He is always very professional and friendly. He listens to any questions I have and answers them openly and honestly. I have had partial knee replacements and I’m delighted with the results.

Mr Cope is excellent , very experienced in knee replacement, his manner, knowledge , understanding, ability to explain what is needed and will happen through the operation made me very comfortable throughout the whole procedure, having had the same operation on the other leg with a different consultant I am able to give Mr Cope the highest recommendation possible and can give future patients every confidence that they are choosing the right person.

In January I had a full hip replacement by Mr Cope. The treatment that I received was first class. I would definitely recommend Mr Cope & the staff at Fulwood Hall Hospital.

Having suffered with pain for several years I was finally referred to Renacres by my Doctor. I was seen by Mr. Cope and eventually by this time I have had both hips replaced. I could not have wished for better care. Mr. Cope explained procedures carefully and in detail leading up to my first hip replacement and by the time the second one needed doing I didn’t hesitate in agreeing with him that it was time for the other hip to be done. All procedures leading up to the operations were excellent including the day of admission and meeting various members of the ‘Team’ who would be taking care of me. Everything went smoothly with both ops and was on my feet the next day, going home after two days and more or less discarding the crutches after couple weeks. I would recommend Mr. Cope to anyone needing hip replacements and also Renacres hospital.

I was really nervous at the thought of having a hip replacement but I can honestly say that Mr Cope & his team re-assured me & made me feel that I was in very safe hands. The care I received was excellent and the doctors and nurses were kind and very efficient. I would highly recommend Mr Cope and the Team at Renacres. Needless to say I am now pain free & delighted that I had the hip replacement

I am a high volume hip and knee replacement surgeon, performing about 500 hips and knees a year. I have previously worked at Southport and Ormskirk DGH from 2007 to 2017 and was the Clinical Director for the last three years.
I now work full time in the private sector seeing NHS (choose and book patients) and private patients. My time is split between two hospitals in the Ramsay group.
I can be seen at Renacres Hall Hospital (Ormskirk and Southport) and Fulwood Hall Hospital (Preston).
